6th Strategic Seminar to Promote Collaboration between the Academy, Universities, and Industry
The Society for New Materials and Technologies (SNMT) cordially invites you to the 6th Strategic Seminar dedicated to one of the key topics for the future of European industry – Lightweighting, i.e. lightening through advanced materials and technologies.
Lightweighting plays an increasingly important role in reducing CO₂ emissions, increasing production efficiency and reducing raw material consumption. It is an innovative approach that supports the development of a competitive and low-carbon industry across sectors and regions of the EU.
Seminar objectives:
The seminar is aimed at introducing the new European project Interreg Europe – Lightweight EU, assessing the current state of lightweighting at the European and national levels, and strengthening the connection between research, industry and the public sector.
The seminar will feature experts from academia, industry and the public sector who will present European initiatives, project challenges in the field of Lightweighting and specific examples of successful use of lightweighting in practice.
The program will also include a practical workshop for stakeholders in the field of Lightweighting, which aims to map the current situation, needs and opportunities for the development of Lightweighting in Slovakia.
Who is the seminar intended for?
For representatives of ministries, regional offices, research organisations, universities, innovation agencies, industrial associations and the business sector with an interest in material innovation and industrial transformation.
The seminar program will be divided into two parts:
1. Expert presentations
2. Interactive part - workshop and discussion
